The result was unprecedented as the Christian rap group sprung to number one on many radio shows, Christian and secular, with their hard-hitting crossover single, ‘do-or-die’. What followed was tour dates (as SPEC is known for his explosive ‘DJ/MC’ show-style) and collaborations with the biggest names in gospel: John P. Kee, Mary-Mary, Vickie Winans, Bobby Jones, Kurt Karr, Modavador-G., and many more.

The Committee won the 2002 ‘S.O.S.’ award, a ‘U.G. Hip-Hop award’, and was nominated for 3 Hollywood Insider awards along side such greats as Kirk Franklin and Smoky Norful. Since the huge sucess of the first, and second albums, SPEC has made a living supporting his beautiful wife Angela and his three kids by producing, recording, and mixing at his state of the art studio (NEXT LEVEL) with his partner, mentee, and friend, Adam (k-oss).

The newest highly anticipated project, the ‘THE PASSION’ promises to be a classic in the areas of production (rivaling that of Kanye West), and content (which is very controversial, touching on everything from Homosexuality to Politics), and has created a large crossover buzz to date, featuring the title track, ’THE PASSION’ which is a play-by-play Hip-Hop account of Christ's’ crucifixion.
