Still unpublished, it was the task of completing this work that the Lord used to reveal to him his call in life. Later accepting his lot as a writer, while trusting God to make provision and open doors he could not, Ricky J began to cultivate the gift in an effort to be a proper steward over that which the Lord had gifted him. All the while trusting that one day the Lord would make it possible for him to touch the world with his inspirational message. In the meantime, He ventured into more casual and informal writing on the infamous social website MySpace. .

The weblog feature of MySpace gave him an audience to whom he might minister and a voice through which he might prove faithful with his gift. Hoping to combine his ability to connect with the human condition and to bring encouragement to the hearts and the lives of others with his gift of writing, Ricky J hopes that his words might give hope and comfort to all who tune in to Breathe Life Radio. While Ricky J will be the first to acknowledge that he is not the most eloquent or provocative of writers, he believes that no one who aspires toward greatness at anything should ever take confidence in the flesh. “He who trusts in himself is a fool,” but he who humbles himself before the Lord will find that the Spirit’s power is made perfect only in our weakness. Trusting in the Master to help increase his gift and his ministry, this young believer taps away at the keys for the glory of God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ.

Says Ricky J, “Though every person on this planet certainly does not acknowledge Christ Jesus as Lord and Savior there are still two things that connect us all—our humanity and God’s love. The One who formed us from the dust of the earth, and quickened us with the breathe of life, is eternally connected to us by a love that we cannot understand or explain. As we toil through the human condition, we must realize that the greatest experience of our humanity is found only in the heart of God. In His presence, there is fullness of joy.”
