The Man: Born December 24, 1976 the oldest of four children. Dj Anointed committed his life to Christ at the age of seven. Dj Anointed wasn’t a church boy all his life. During the adolescent years, throughout high school, and young adult years he was plagued by sins of lust and pride. At the age of twenty-one God called Dj Anointed to the ministry. Dj Anointed served for youth ministries in the San Joaquin area for several years. Dj Anointed currently works as a youth counselor for the Department of Juvenile Justice. He has seen first hand the pain and frustration young men face due to dysfunctional families, drug abuse, and gang violence. Dj Anointed is married with three children: Jay’Riah, Montay II, and Amiyah.

The Ministry: Dj Anointed sensed the need to cultivate the gifts God had given him. In the summer of 2003 he enrolled at Trinity Life Bible College. While attending Trinity Life Bible College, God placed a burden for people who are emotionally broken, spiritually bruised, and socially forgotten. Dj Anointed has served as a pulpit Minister under the Leadership of Bishop Parnell Lovelace, Jr. Senior and Founding Pastor of Center of Praise International for five years. Dj Anointed sensed God moving him to become more missional in his approach to ministry. The language of the culture and the message of the Gospel appeared to be on different frequencies. The language of the current culture is Hip-Hop/Urban. The word of God needs to speak to the heart of the culture. This done in its proper cultural context will bring conviction and change to this generation.

Dj Anointed grew loving Hip-Hop music, but knew Hip-Hop was not Christ centered. Dj Anointed was introduced to Holy Hip-Hop when he bought his first Christian Rap CD, Cross Movement’s Theocratic Rule back in 98. Since then his understanding grew on how our Sovereign God can use anyone and any cultural movement to pronounce His truth. In the spring of 2007, Dj Anointed began turntablism. His passion and prayer is that God would speak through the elements of Hip-Hop to bring redemption and restoration to this lost and broken generation. Dj Anointed is planning to plant a Holy Hip-Hop Church in the city of Sacramento.
